My recent stay at Gonubie Hotel was extremely disappointing. The level of service was unsatisfactory from the start, with staff showing little urgency or concern when issues were raised. Several lights in the room were not working, which created an uncomfortable and inconvenient environment. What was most concerning, however, was the overall condition of the room. In my opinion, the maintenance standards appear very poor, and the room did not feel safe or properly cared for. Basic upkeep and guest safety should be a priority at any hotel, and unfortunately that was not my experience here. To make matters worse, the room rates are not what you would expect to pay for accommodation of this standard. The pricing does not reflect the poor quality, lack of maintenance, and disappointing service provided. I would not recommend staying here unless significant improvements are made to the service, room conditions, pricing, and general safety standards.

If I could give zero stars I would. Terrible service from reception with rooms that apparently only lock from the inside? Why bother giving us the keys then if they don't work to lock? We ended up having to pack up our laptops and valuables everything we had to go out which was annoying. Reception could not be bothered told us to "wait and they'll come see". They never came! Pathetic service. The only thing good is the view.

Starting from check-in, there is poor hospitality and service. My wife and I had to navigate our way to our room as well as the parking. No directions or accompanying from the receptionist at all. They did not care whether we are happy with anything. They just minded their own business. To move from the back parking, we had to go all around the building navigating our way to the reception. Also, the parking is not secure at all. The yard has no gate. And you are told through signs that you park at your own risk. Should anything happen to your car, its none of their business. I was there last night and checked out today, 30/10/2025

Stayed one night in early January. Room had no aircon, no fan, no WiFi and no TV. Asked for a better rate but no reply from management. Quite disappointed!
