Firstly i went there for a wedding, so I will be commenting about the wedding venue in general. Good venue in terms of scenery, setting and overall decorations. The food was also really good. My only disappointment was that the toilets were horrible. I was quite surprised actually that a well reputed establishment like Gonubie Manor still has urinals without flushes working on them etc. But in overall, good venue, good food, staff was very friendly, barmen were on point.

My opinion based on Gonubie Manor🏡 Note: I didn't get to stay in the new flats, which looked like they could of been good. So I'll have to rate the place based off the room I was in. Positives: If you are desperate for a place to stay and not break the bank, it will suffice. It's quite affordable. Has good Vodacom reception. The beds were very comfortable and I had a good night's sleep. Quite quiet too, provided there isn't a wedding on I suppose. The stone work on the main building was also quite neat. Finally, the animal statues and giant chess board was quite sweet. Unfortunately, this is where the positives stop. Negatives: The flats are terribly outdated. The furniture is dated and the rooms look like they are straight out of the 80s. Also we found some of the decor just coming off as tacky. Some flats no longer have carpets as they have been removed to expose bare cement. TV is basic and offers no DSTV. No WiFi. The bathroom is grimey. The soffas are not very comfortable. The rooms have potential but definitely require some renovation and TLC. The electronic gates didn't work and the driveway into the venue looked like an old rural village. I was half expecting to encounter a herd of cattle grazing to be honest. Finally, service was poor and the staff didn't seem interested to check in how one was doing. Overall: If you need a place to stay it will do, but if you have the luxury to go elsewhere, I'd suggest it.

A beautiful wedding venue. They follow covid protocol. They encourage people to wear masks. Keep their distance and to also sanitizer their hands. They have an outdoor setting and the hall is big enough to host bigger weddings and events.

Gonubie Manor is a great events venue for you wedding and other related activities. The place is natural, vegetative yet has great facilities to enjoy.
