This really has a wonderful view of Grahamtown as it sits right on top of a hill. The staff has gone the extra mile for our party and our meals were good. The rooms are large and very comfortable. I would give mine 5 stars!

This was a very beautiful and safe stop over for my partner. He was very happy with the super service and kindness of the owner. Defiantly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in Grahamstown. It was good value for money for the quality and service offered. Thank you to all at Mountain View Manor.

No-one from the Lodge management was there to greet us. All the security gate doors were closed, and the place was freezing cold. There was a fireplace, but it was not lit. Felt more like a jail than a Guest House. Although we paid for dinner, we chose not to eat in due to the freezing cold lounge/dining room area. There was a strong stench of mould/chemicals, we struggled to sleep. The bottles of shampoo, lotion and body wash were in old and worn our plunger bottles that didn't work. had to pour out the soaps in the shower. For a 4-star guest house, it was a real disappointment, nothing personal or welcoming at all about our stay, and sadly I will not be booking my clients in here again for the planned 6 weeks over the next few months.

One of my favourite places to stay in Grahamstown! Great staff and yummy food. You can see the whole of Grahamstown and the most beautiful mountain views from over the hill behind the manor.
