Perfect place to watch sport match with the screen upstairs. Foodwise the meaty pizza, wings and fries were a great combo for the match viewing

I'm from here and used to go to the Rat a lot. Went today for the first time in ages. Ordered a large pizza (30cm whereas medium is 26cm). Seemed a bit small. Asked the waitron who said it's a large. Thought okay maybe it's just me. My friend came. Asked my friend. He said it seemed a bit small. Thought okay, I'll ask the manager. He said no it's definitely large. Argued with him but to no avail (!) What can I do? Got home, measured. Rat not only sold a medium pizza for a large price, but I was gaslighted by both waitron and the manager 8. 12.25 @16.00. Rat has become Grahamstown in its decline...will avoid from now on. Shocking.

Servers were very kind; the best. The wings were terrible and very very small, the springrolls were mostly pastry; had very little filling. The oreo milkshake is the best!

This is a late review but I can't stop raving about the Pizzas at this place. I mean I know about someone of the the well known franchise pizzas joints but this one is just distinct. It's rich, pipping hot♨️ and the cheese is stretchy🧀🍕 and overall tasty . The vibe is amazing too - an area for each one may prefer. The only problem I had on my last encounter was - the person serving us mixed up the sizing. She brought a small when I asked for medium. But that's not why I gave the service a 2 star. When it was my first time going to the place, we had pizza and the order was pretty large. The person serving us at the time didn't add a service fee on the slip. It was very great to tip from the heart. Now with the second (final visit), the person serving us added a service fee. Then when I asked if I have to add a tip again, she kept quiet and didn't answer. Which felt a bit unfair because I need to tip from my heart and there's and additional on fee that wasn't there the first time I came. On top of that, just when I thought our orders were in, she came back and told us she's here to get out orders again because she left after we told her what we'd like to have. I was disappointed. I guess it wasn't her day and every one makes mistskes🙏🏽. But the pizzas are great. I also had Sprite from those old school glass bottles. It felt so cool 😊🍶. Not all hope is lost, I'll come back again for the burgers 🍔😊
