I had a really lovely dinner at The Highlander in Makhanda. The service was top-notch and the interior has a very pleasant, upscale atmosphere with high ceilings, enhanced by smooth jazz playing in the background. There is also a great bar area on-site. Food-wise, it was a bit of a mixed bag. I started with the chicken tacos, which tasted good but felt quite mingy and small for around R70+. However, the roast pork belly main completely made up for it—it was a hearty, generous portion. I would certainly come back, but might skip the tacos next time.

Excellent pizzas and quick and friendly service. The views are pleasant. I recommend the “Upper” and the “Crewe” as they were delicious. Well prepared, reasonably priced. We will be back.

Very rude.The first waiter left us and couldn't even get us a proper table. The second waiter asanda,came took the check and cash and never came back with our change
