The success of a hotel lies in their staff. Hotel Savoy has the absolute best staff. Their warm, generous nature and willingness to assist, even late into the evening is incredible. I must mention Godfrey, who not only assisted us to and from our venues, but is an absolute joy to chat to. I will see the team again soon. RaspberryPi Foundation

It is an easy to find hotel on the N2.Parking is enough for everyone. Rooms are spacious. The only thing disturbing is the noise you get when you put on the bathroom lamp. Breakfast always very nice and the staff are very efficient. There is no supper/ dinner you get coupons to eat at either Spurs or Panarottis.I wish they could add Nandos which is also nearby. There is a Spar, a chemist and a Spar nearby. Come and experience it for yourself and take as many pictures as you can.

The place was beautiful and clean and I enjoyed their breakfast but im just concerned about security, I had someone knocking on my door at 00:45 asking if is there someone in the room, and when I answered he walk away. I could not sleep after that.

I travelled to Libode for a funeral and stayed here for 6 days. The staff were all lovely from reception, cleaning staff and the complementary airport shuttle was fantastic. The staff were accommodating whenever I needed assistance with something. The rain almost ruined the trip but again, staff were on hand to assist when we were struggling to get to the rooms due to heavy rains. The only thing I’d change in the place is the lights in my room. I’d put warm lights. I found the current ones too bright (sensitive eyes). Other than that, I’ll definitely book the place again if I visit Mthatha.
