I recently enjoyed an afternoon tea experience at The Beach Hotel, and it was truly one of those slow, beautiful moments that stays with you. Set against a relaxed coastal backdrop, the atmosphere felt calm, elegant, and effortlessly inviting — the kind of place where you can pause and really enjoy the moment. The afternoon tea itself was a delight, with a thoughtfully curated selection of sweet and savoury treats, each beautifully presented and full of flavour. The drinks were just as enjoyable, refreshing and perfectly paired with the experience. Every detail, from the presentation to the ambiance, made the afternoon feel special. If you’re in Port Elizabeth and looking for a peaceful, refined experience by the ocean, afternoon tea at The Beach Hotel is definitely worth adding to your list. It’s the perfect blend of comfort, elegance, and indulgence — and I’ll certainly be returning.

It's in a great setting, but we have been a few times and the staff need training. The manager was very good, but it needs to follow through. This place has got style and is great for breakfast buffet, lunch and celebratory dinner. I just wish like others in PE, they up the service standards. Service is one of your core brand builders.

Everything was handled seamlessly and without stress, and you made our group feel welcome and comfortable despite the last-minute nature of the request. Tyremart is extremely grateful for the effort and care shown, and it is this level of service that ensures we will confidently consider The Beach Hotel for future events. We truly enjoyed our Wednesday Date Night at The Crest Restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, the wine was perfectly winning, and the service from the team was exceptional 👌. The atmosphere was cool, calm, and beautifully quiet, with a stunning sea view and a romantic setup that made the evening unforgettable. **10/10 — highly recommended
