About Lupela Lodge

OuKraal venue is a country venue situated at Lupela Lodge, perfect for that amazing destination wedding with family and friends.

The beautiful views of the mountains, river and agricultural lands give you that unique guest experience and setting for beautiful wedding photos. OuKraal is an owner manage venue and we are actively involved in your special day. The reception hall is an old sandstone building which is built on two levels. The reception area can host up to 200 guests. Beautiful wooden floors and wooden tables with a separate serving area for the food. You will be entertained by our country style cuisine, using only local produced products where possible. Our menus are specially designed to offer you great food or Bride and Groom can design their own menu. All breads for the day are made on the day of the wedding. We are experienced in wedding cakes and flower decorations all done to your requirement. The bottom level is used during canape hour, bar also on this level. We have two ceremony options available. Our Boskerk is in a forest overlooking the river with wooden benches and a rustic pulpit. Alternatively, a garden wedding on the lawns with beautiful views on the mountains in a well-kept garden. Amazing views, tranquil, simplistic accommodation. The drive is treacherous, would recommend 4x4 / SUV etc, not sedan or small car. Get supplies for self catering before you go, shops etc far, self catering had absolutely no electricity so be prepared (gas fridge, stove & geyser and solar lights). Was great to have no reception, could spend uninterrupted time together. We're looking forward to our next visit and will do more than one night as it is so beautiful

Picture perfect surroundings. Huge outside fire pit with fantastic views. Very big showers. Comfortable beds. Big, inside fireplace. Variety of drinking glasware a nice surprize.

follow the river to this hidden retreat nestled between the mountains. A wonderful country lodge sat apon beautifully kept lawns. A wonderful escape and a place to relax in the sounds of nature.

What an amazing place! Stayed at the Lookout Cottage, and loved it. Very clean and neat. Bare in mind that cottage runs on solar and gas, which worked great. Also no cellphone signal or wifi. Wifi only at main building. Hope to be back one day...
