If you are looking for unexpected luxury with a twist of rustic charm in a quaint little town, this is it! The rooms are lovely, luxurious, unique. The courtyard garden is breathtaking. Fragrant and a feast of colour. Think; second honeymoon in tuscany. It also reminds me of the hotel from the movie Mama Mia. It is simply beautiful. The staff is so friendly. The dining room is warm and welcoming and the food is scrumptious. I had a cheese and tomato toastie on brown bread, the bread looks home made, crunchy and fluffy and the cheese was pulling. *Chef's kiss!* 100/10 would recommend. Worth the turn off from your main route. It really is even worth coming out here from the city, just to stay for the weekend..Also, very safe. It was an amazing experience.

What friendly service. Marlette and Tobie really makes you feel welcome, all the staff were friendly and pleasant. The town is very safe and it is dead centre in the middle of it. You can walk anywhere from the Hotel. Across the street is a beautiful old sandstone dutch reformed church and you have a lovely view of it from every window in the dining room. This is so worth it for a weekend break away from Bloemfontein or Gauteng, you get to really relax into the old life. Detox from the traffic and technology of the city. Clean air, friendly faces, simple living.

This wasn't just a last minute stopover - it was a whole wonderful experience. Beautiful historical buildings with an owner passionate about the incredible history of the town. There is a bakery, restaurant, bar, unique stone chapel and functions venue on site. Highly recommended.

The rooms are very nice, they supply a little coffee corner with rusks and a kettle. The courtyard is full of fragrant rosemary, different kinds of lavender, jasmine and roses. There are sandstone pathways and the vibe is very charmingly romantic and rustic. The food was delicious and the prices are reasonable. They also have a very nice little gift shop in the dining room.
