Came for a relaxing stay - The manager was very friendly and professional. Accommodation - stunning with beautiful views, riverview cottages a must. The Vaal River breathtaking. Most dissapointing factor was the bath water that was not clear at all. Need to install proper water filters to insure a better overall experience. Water to smelly and algae riddin to bath. Apart from that the accommadation was worth every cent, very affordable. G on V Restaurant - Dinner, Well done, had Avo, bacon and feta italian pizza, great tasting, well prepared. Breakfast - Omelet with mushrooms, bacon, ham, tomato etc, stunning, The Biltong Quiche was amazing...compliments to the chef (Barbie), waitresses, Maria and Bridged, very friendly, received great service, thanks. The Spa - full body, hands and feet massages, ladies very friendly, did a good job overall. What needs attention ? • Maintenance in rooms a must, globes hanging loose from ceiling, ceiling showing signs of water damage, windows dirty • Bath water need to be filtered. • Spa lights changed to yellow and dimmable (for better atmosphere) ° Please look into changing the sitting area in G on V (non-smokers want to sit on an open deck as well, should not be designated for smokers, they should smoke outside of G on V, away from paying customers). Will definitely visit again.

One can see and feel the bygone glory here but the signs of loss of passion and slow decay in the facility is sad. Having said that, everything in our chalet was clean and worked and the rush of the Vaal outside was omnipresent and impressive.

Egwini is on the Vaal River with beautiful gardens and a view of the stone Yellow Fish art installation created by Deon Terblanche. They offer a selection of craft gins that are well-worth a try!

A very disappointing lounge, I will never go there ever again and I will never tell anyone I know to go there Jo many cats and very spooky
