I went on a solo Easter Vacation. Angie was amazing and helpful when I made the booking. There is 12km of dust (gravel) road but not bad even small cars can manage. I stayed in all the 3 room types, Rondawel, Rhino room & Kudu Chalet. They were all perfect and good size for 2 people. I went on a guided 10km hike with Nelson and spotted a number of animals which I enjoyed. Sharon's kitchen is the best. All the meals were delicious. I will definitely recommend family & friends to come to Savanha Game Lodge.

Held a team building for our staff whom some lodged overnight. Angie was an amazing host and catered for all our requirements. Catering was good. The venue itself is beautiful with scenic nature views. Highly recommend

The staff at Savannah Lodge are very friendly and helpful but are in serious need of better resources. I feel sorry for the staff as they try their best but the place needs an update and loads of maintenance. The rooms (Buffalo, Zebra and Nyala lodge rooms) were very, very basic and make sure to note that it is not fitted for self catering. Thus, no fridge or dining area available that is for your use only. Such a nice boma area available but the paint is peeling and there are spider webs everywhere. The communal fridge, TV room and dining table are in the big house but the furniture is outdated and underwhelming. We wanted to book a game drive but the vehicle had a flat tyre.

Over priced for what you get. Had no cold water in the unit so we had to brush teeth with hot water. The bath was filed with hot water and then needed to wait 2 hours before we can bath. I asked can we fish, was told yes but the water was high. Never mentioned that the river is so far from the lodge and when we reached the river there were muddy water and bearly running river. The room itself needs maintenance. Waste of money. The only plus point was the staff was friendly.
