Lovely lodge, just outside of Reitz and within driving range for adventures in Clarens, Fouriesburg, and the Drakensburgs. Local wildlife (zebras, ostriches, etc.) are onsite, a pool, a beautiful reservoir to watch sunset, etc. We stayed in a beautiful self-catering cottage and enjoyed the relaxing time here to just unwind. Would absolutely recommend.

We absolutely loved our stay in the Chalet on the dam at BassFeather. It was clean, cozy and provided gorgeous views. The beds were super comfortable and the deck outside was a perfect place for reading and playing cards as a family. We enjoyed morning walks with our kids to find beautiful animals on the property, and the location was perfect for day trips into Reitz and Clarens. The manager was friendly, helpful and responsive to our needs. We are already looking forward to our next visit! Thank you for hosting us!

We had a wonderful stay at BassFeather. Waking up every morning on the dam was amazing. The chalet was cozy, comfortable and well equipped. The staff was friendly, helpful and kind, and attended to all of our needs. We are a family of 4 and would highly recommend to others who are looking for a relaxing getaway. We will be back again!

The setting is really great, being off the main roads, outside of town and on the banks of a huge fishing dam. Probably the best place to stay near Reitz. The chalets are quite basic though and could do with bit of a refresh.
