About Rietpoort Game & Guest Farm

Rietpoort Game and Guest Farm is situated 11km from Trompsburg  which is on the N1 south towards Cape Town.

Rietpoort is a merino sheep farm where the sheep are sheared once a year and guests are more than  welcome to watch. The sheep have little lambs every 5 months and the children are occasionally able to feed the lambs without mothers. It’s also a game farm with Springbuck, Blesbuck, Black Wildebeest and Gemsbuck  can be viewed.  Rietpoort has a beautiful garden with big trees and the cottages are located in the garden.

This place is breathtaking. The lawns are green, the pool is clean and the atmosphere is complete relaxation. The owners are wonderful people who cook mouthwatering food. 10 out of 10, I recommend this place.

We thoroughly enjoyed the walk and Nena swam non-stop. Their shed is very basic but absolutely doggy friendly. Burgers tasty!

Lovely comfortable accommodation. Definitely include the supper if you can. It's better than restaurant food. A true gem. Lovely 5 star hosts

This is a wonderfull, peaceful overnight guest farm. I will recommend the stopover to anybody. Warm friendliness of Isabel and Derick. A warm plate of cooked food after a long day of travelling. Nice breakfast. A must stay
