I’ve been coming here for 3 years in a row with a church group over the Easter weekend, and it’s always a great experience. The rooms were upgraded this year (2026), and I must say they’ve been consistently clean and well maintained over the years, aside from the occasional spiderweb here and there. The venue offers large open grass areas and a spacious hall, which works really well for group activities. One thing to keep in mind is the dirt road leading to the location, it can be a bit challenging for smaller, standard cars, so it’s better suited to bakkies or 4x4s. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this place for large groups like school camps or church groups.

Such a shame no staff knew I was arriving for a stay that was booked and already paid for. They were so shocked when I arrived staff told me to wait because they need to clean a room first, I requested on quote for fridge to be in room and they agreed on WhatsApp before my arrival when I got there they told me they don't have that. Absolutely no hot water in room ,told staff member and got ignored , told him the next day again and the response was I don't know how to open a tap (apparently the guest are stupid), eventually when I got a family member to phone the owner of the place staff started running around and saw no rooms had any hot water at all & that I wasn't lying about it, eventually they fixed the problem and one room had hot water so if I wanted to shower I had to go to that room so it was so inconvenient because it was a different room to walk to for a shower during the cold winter. Staff got rude when I said there is no hot water , like I offended them. Only thing that was nice was the takeaway breakfast and the supper & the beautiful animals that was there , beautiful sunrise and sunset , very beautiful venue but highly unprofessional staff. My plan was to stay 3 weeks but left after one week.

Nice little venue. Not all staff are friendly and accommodating. Solar Back up power provided for lights only, not plugs. Not ideal for church when there’s rainy or stormy weather passing through. Ablutions at main hall floods and smells after a while. Not a big issue - Shower water supply is not ideal with inconsistent water supply. Prepare to dance in the shower. Water temperature changes quickly. Food was average. Situated close to mall.

It is good for team building camps. Good quality beds to sleep on. Bathrooms need some maintenance but had a lovely time there.
