Really lovely place with lovely owners, feel safe, welcomed here and loved the vintage plaas theme. On our 2nd day they brought a mini fridge to the room for the rest of our stay 🤭 The staff is amazing, the food is great, we even had a kettle and clean water in our rooms. Really awesome that they have a help your self bar where what you take, you don't pay there but adds to end of stay cost which is easier. Cleaning is a full day thing so rather put the clean sign on when you're going out for the day. Everything was great and they also offer wishy washy if needed. Thank you for having us, it was lovely :)

I had the pleasure of staying at their Meerust Guest House just around the corner from Le Chateau Guest House. The environment was peaceful and serene which was very important. The room was beautiful, with an upstairs where I could do my work. The owners and staff are very friendly and accommodating making you feel very welcome and comfortable. I can highly recommend this place if you are looking for a good and comfortable place with a beautiful garden to relax and find some peace in Johannesburg. Hope to stay here again in the future. We recently stayed at Le Chateau Guest House and Conference Centre, and the property has a peaceful, charming atmosphere. It has a lovely historical feel, well-maintained and full of character, without feeling worn or neglected. The grounds are spacious and quiet, surrounded by nature, which made the stay relaxing. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was excellent. Fresh, tasty, and a great way to start the morning. We stayed in Room 1, which was spacious and comfortable overall. The main downside was the bathroom. There was quite a bit of mold on the tiles in the shower area, which was disappointing to see. The showerhead also sprayed water directly against the wall, making it difficult to shower comfortably. Another point worth noting is that the room did not have a mini-fridge. It would have been useful to keep drinks or items bought during the day cold overnight, especially for a guesthouse of this size and rating. With some attention to bathroom maintenance and the addition of mini-fridges in the rooms, this could easily be an excellent stay from start to finish. The atmosphere, staff, and breakfast are all wonderful, and the guesthouse has a lot of charm and potential.

Excellent customer service, friendly, efficient and so affordable. The space is homey, soothing away the days rush and worries. I would recommend this guest house without reservations! 😀❤️
