We went to the Ground venue to the Cafe for Father's day breakfast today 21 June 2026.The weather was really cold and cloudy and it was nice that a fire was already lit inside the cafe making it nice and warm.The service was great and we had some good food to go with it. The prices are reasonable and the food was great,however a few of our orders came to the table cold, this must have been due to the extreme cold outside being around 11 degrees.So forgiven this time round.We had a lovely hike after the meal but costed R60pp, which is a bit steep as we already supported the cafe. Just remember if you do come here to eat and hike that you will be paying for the hike.We left satisfied otherwise and would recommend the Ground Venue Cafe a visit and meal.There are numerous other options in the area and venues, so many more to chose from, But give a the Ground a pop in and enjoy a lovely meal and atmosphere. They are very dog friendly so bring your fury pets along for the dog lovers, remember this is if you don't mind dogs while you eating around you, if you do,then rather avoid and give it a skip!

My husband and I got married at Ground in March 2026. Our experience with the team at Ground, from booking a venue viewing to the running of the wedding day, was absolutely phenomenal. The team are very professional, organised and such a pleasure to work with. We could not have asked for a better experience for planning our wedding day. We highly recommend planning an event at Ground. Every detail was thoroughly thought-out and the day ran so smoothly with no hiccups. Our guests were very complimentary, and they loved everything, from the decor, food and the general ambience. Special mention to Denika Pearce who was our co-ordinator on the day. She took on our stress so that we could enjoy the day. She made sure that our schedule ran perfectly and that every detail was taken care of. Thank you again to the team at Ground for executing our beautiful dream wedding!

Went to the ground for a couples picnic, the "Boujee Boho" set up. The service with the staff was amazing, we were greeted at the reception with music which sets the mood and were offered drinks from the bar. The picnic experience was beyond our expectations. The views of the mountains are spectacular. Highly recommend for a day out with friends, family or as a couple.
