Even though we booked a Garden Suite, we were extremely fortunate to be upgraded to the Presidential Suite. The service was absolutely impeccable from Belinda who within an hour confirmed our booking to Petros, Clifford and Robert who assisted us over the weekend. We noted that the plug point at the desk in the bedroom was not working so we had to move the mirror to where my hairdryer and iron were plugged in. We also had to boil the kettle on the floor... Which could be dangerous. Petros was kind enough to deliver us wood but we only sourced one match from the matchbox in the bathroom.... Maybe housekeeping could add matches to their checklist. The service was absolutely impeccable and if I've left anyone out I apologise. The suite needs some maintenance as we noted there was water dripping on the outside of the main bedroom as well. The Study could possibly do with some more light. We had supper in the Bijou Restaurant which was absolutely delicious. We feel the breakfast portions are too big. Besides the complimentary granola, yoghurt, cheese, biscuits, muffins and croissants you are able to order from the menu as well! All in All a beautiful weekend spent at Toadbury Hall and in the Lanseria area which we felt was also centrally situated to nearby activities. This is definitely not our last visit!

Very nice romantic getaway. The room smelled a little musty but had a nice king bed, bath and shower and a kettle with coffee and tea in the room. The grounds are nice for a stroll around and the restaurant was wonderful. Food was delicious. We even had a massage as part of the couples package.

My husband and I booked the Winter special package. Very good value! The service and staff in particular were exceptional. Restaurant food was very good, beds super comfy.

Christmas lunch was a huge rip off with hardly any of the advertised foods provided. We waited half an hour for raw boiled potatoes, the veggies were raw and just plain. The meat was tough but the beef edible. Then the dessert was an absolute disaster. No brulee, trifles that were all mixed up and appeared regurgitated. Dry Malva pudding, no fridge cheese cake or fruit salad. It ruined my Christmas day as the wine service was also very slow. Do not recommend this venue for large events as the queues were endless with no flow and no organisational accountability. I recommend separate queues for the separate courses and more than one food station.
