We've driven part it a lot, so thought we'll give it a shot this time. Overall a very nice place. We did ask for a double but got a twin... still acceptable though, as the bed were comfortable and clean. The internet was a bit dodgy, so it was a mission to stream movies. And sadly nobody explained that there was a church service on Sunday mornings, which was quite the rude awakening. Lastly, the breakfast waiter consistently got our orders wrong during the stay... but that is just the negative. It is a comfortable stay, close to local restaurants and shops, and a lovely garden for picnic or brunch.

Such a lovely and tranquil atmosphere. The staff are so welcoming especially Thuli at the reception who was very professional, shared all required information and displays an attitude of being helpful. In booking for the spa had an interaction with Pearl who was equally awesome.

Wifi did not work. We wanted to watch the tennis in the bar. The TV did not work. Addressed the issues with the manager and was told it is what it is. Not even an attempt to assist. We booked three rooms unfortunately. Staff is friendly and gardens are beautiful, but the unwillingness to assist guests who wanted to spend money at the guest house is unfortunate.

I spent 20 days at Black Eagle boutique hotel on a visit to see family. The service and staff were impeccable and made my home away from home so much more than I expected. The warm reception from Patricia, Thuli, Bernard & Charlie was so welcoming each day .Mike, Emanuel and Thulani were the most exceptional servers and made every meal an absolute delight and nothing was too much of an effort . Happiness and Linda had me coming “home” to a beautiful refreshing room and a place to unwind ( loved the turn down service). Sandi at the spa worked magic on aching and tight muscles. JP the chef made us the most delicious dinner the night before I left and wished I had had more dinners there! The kindness and care shown to me from when I arrived and each and every day, until I left has had to be one of the most special and exceptional stays that I’ve ever experienced. The peacocks 🦚 were beautiful and I do miss the wake up and night calls, they had me smiling. The place is an oasis and I am so very grateful and thankful to all the staff for making this stay so memorable…
