About The Anchorage

We are able to accommodate smaller intimate weddings in our conference center.

Large wedding can be accommodated in the hall or on the lawn overlooking the Dam or next to our infinity edge pool at the waters edge. Full catering can be provided by our restaurant on site. Please contact us to plan and organize your wedding we are most willing to try and accommodate your every wish so that your wedding may be a truly memorable occasion. Should you wish to enjoy your wedding weekend with us we are able to accommodate you and your guests in our two, three and three bedroom deluxe self catering units. A total of 52 rooms with queen beds are available.

Absolutely deserving of 5 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our stay at The Anchorage was fantastic from start to finish. The accommodation was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, making it easy to relax and feel at home. We loved the range of activities on offer the boat trips and jet ski experiences were a real highlight, and the pool area was immaculate and perfect for unwinding. The padel court was a great bonus and clearly very well looked after. Christmas Day was especially memorable thanks to the excellent three course lunch, which was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, complemented by a warm, festive atmosphere throughout the venue. The overall experience was seamless, enjoyable, and truly special. We couldn’t fault a thing and would highly recommend The Anchorage for a relaxing yet activity filled getaway.

Jonathan served us really well when the VUT students held their training at your place. The staff is really friendly they even recalled my name which was so nice because there were so manyyyy of us, I truly appreciate their effort.

Great location great for the boats and everything is super fun!! Love the place and good food !! The restaurant was just very very slow and service was a bit bad - our waiter while busy with us gets told her table is here she must go and we can wait. Along with the prices advertised on the book was not the same as what we paid.

We ate at the restaurant on the 29th of December and enjoyed it so much we asked to be booked a table for the 1st of January 2026 at 12:00. The waitress took my name and number and we left thinking our table was secure. Only now to arrive at the restaurant, not only to be told that they do not have a booking, but that their restaurant closes at 12:00 which we were not informed of on the day, after I asked two separate waitresses if they are open on the 1st when we ate there on the 29th. I understand that mistakes happen and that not everything is always 100, but I would have loved if there was some apology and accountability from their part, since we were a party of 10 people looking forward to having a nice meal together as a family, but we were met with a bad attitude and shrug shoulders. Based on how we were turned away at this restaurant, I would definitely not recommend dining here
