About Palm Dune Beach Lodge

Palm Dune Beach Lodge is situated just forty minutes north of Durban on a secluded beach known as Blythedale Beach.

Being right on the beach and adjacent to a nature reserve makes the venue highly versatile and ideal for weddings, conferences or a relaxing family holiday. A Lodge of this nature is a rare find on the sought after Dolphin Coast of KwaZulu Natal and is within easy reach of the major cities and towns of Durban, Richards Bay and Pietermaritzburg. Gateway shopping centre is only 35 minutes drive from the Lodge and Durban International Airport only 55 minutes. The Lodge boasts 10 en-suite rooms. The rooms are air-conditioned and have tea and coffee making facilities and a television with 12 DStv channels. These rooms can be converted into 2 twin beds upon request. The units are serviced on a daily basis except for Sundays and Public holidays. The dining room is elevated, providing stunning views over the ocean and seats up to 80 people in comfort. A small lounge area with a fireplace provides the ideal place to enjoy a cognac, cigar and good conversation. For more social evenings there is a fully stocked and serviced bar. Our recent stay at Palm Dune Beach Lodge for our 3-day church conference was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality that set the tone for a truly memorable weekend. The food was absolutely amazing—every meal was thoughtfully prepared, delicious, and satisfying. A special word of appreciation to the chefs for their outstanding work; your dedication and skill truly shone through in every dish served. The staff delivered excellent service throughout our stay. They were attentive, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Their professionalism and kindness made a significant impact on our overall experience. One of the highlights was the peaceful morning runs, surrounded by calm and natural beauty, followed by refreshing and wonderful moments spent on the beach. The serene environment provided the perfect setting for reflection, fellowship and rest. Palm Dune Beach Lodge is truly a gem, offering both tranquility and top-tier service. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway, a group retreat, or a special event venue. We are grateful for such a beautiful experience and look forward to returning in the future.

Wow! I still can't get over the beauty of that place, its absolutely stunning. It's one of the best places I've visited. I visited from the 20 - 22 March 2026. The service is excellent ,the food is great, the accommodation was a 💯 . It was all and more.

Had our staff party at this venue for a number of years thanks to management and staff. Situated but a stones throw away from the beach .Braai area is under the trees shelterd from the wind while u enjoy friends and family and have a good time .Staff are most willing and accommodating. U will find an upstairs pub that caters for ur drinks and meals while u soak in the sea breeze and the magnificent views .Also accomadation is avaliable .Give them a try .
