Ammazulu Palace is a unique luxury lodge just outside Durban on the edge of Kloof Gorge and Krantzkloof Nature Reserve.

Ammazulu Palace is a truly spectacular five star venue for you to unwind and experience a special stay inside the elaborately crafted beaded and mosaiced columns and decorated walkways, halls and bedrooms full of African craft. Ammazulu Palace has 10 luxury suites, spa facilities and a large function hall to seat up to 60 persons with a private lounge and dining area overlooking the gorge for the guests to relax and enjoy themselves as well as even more private lounges in the suites. Front view Presidential Suites overlooking the Krantzkloof Gorge Nature Reserve. Sweeping private balconies entice you to spend some time lounging in luxury. Suites are decorated with original African art works and beaded panels extending even into the large en-suite bathrooms. These rooms have large king size beds, DStv and flat screens. We had an amazing stay at Ammazulu African Palace. The place is truly unique, beautifully designed, and full of character. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and well taken care of. The atmosphere is peaceful, the rooms are comfortable, and the African-inspired architecture and décor make the experience feel very special. The staff were friendly, attentive, and professional throughout our stay. It is the perfect place for anyone looking for a relaxing, memorable, and authentic getaway. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Ammazulu African Palace to others.

This is a fabulous place to stay and a cross between a museum to Zulu heritage with a luxury hotel. Martin was very welcoming, the room, decor and gardens were amazing and we had the best breakfast on the biggest table I've ever seen. The gardens were peaceful and the Mountain View was spectacular. Highly recommended.

A wonderful relaxing break in a spectacular structure in peaceful surroundings. Luxurious rooms with breathtaking views. The staff were super friendly and helpful with suggestions and even provided a wonderful complimentary full English breakfast for my Birthday. Thank you so much for a chance to experience the views from our room and verandah .

I was booked for a photoshoot at Ammazulu African Palace last week. My car broke down at exit 22. My friend who had arranged the photoshoot was already at the venue. She got to me in 10 minutes together with Martin who works at the venue. Martin stayed with my car until the tow truck arrived. The manager then picked him up. I was completely blown away by the level of service and commitment by the staff. When we arrived everything was made easy to start the photoshoot with 10 minutes of my arrival. I had the best sleep that night surrounded by nature and silence. Breakfast the next morning was first class. All in all a wonderful stay. I highly recommend Ammazulu African Palace
