About Burne & Burne Attorneys

Burne & Burne Attorneys is a law firm that understands the legal decisions facing young engaged couples.

If you have made the big decision to get married, you are quickly realising that there are many decisions that need to be made. Other than the colour of your bridesmaids’ dresses, ceremony and wedding reception, there is also the key legal decision that you should make and that is whether or not you need an antenuptial contract. If you do not enter into an antenuptial contract and you get married then your marriage will be a marriage in community of property. An antenuptial contract allows both parties to retain any assets held before, as well as acquired during, the marriage. The main goal is to allow both parties to enjoy the legal freedoms held before marriage and to protect both partners from financial disasters that may occur in the future. If parties wish to enter into a marriage out of community of property (in other words to avoid the “we share everything” principle), they need to sign an antenuptial contract. Marriage out of community of property therefore works on the principle of “what is mine is mine, what is yours is yours.” Converting from a marriage in community of property to a marriage out of community of property is pricey? Save yourself the extra costs and get an antenuptial contract prior to you getting married. Burne & Burne Attorneys are a law firm with an excellent reputation for quality and dependability. And they have been in business since July 1880! Let them take care of all your antenuptial requirements for you. Besides ANC Contracts, Burne & Burne Attorneys also offer: - Post Nuptial Contracts - Administration of Deceased Estates - Preparing of Wills and Trusts - Notorial Services - Sales of Property - Transferring of Conventional and Sectional Title properties Address: 9 Berkeley Crescent, Durban North Facebook: Visit them on Facebook Instagram: Visit them on Instagram Please fill in your details below to contact Burne & Burne Attorn

They were acting as lawyers for my late father. but the advice they gave him, or didnt give him resulted in step-mother taking the full estate - None of his wishes were carried out. - the items bequeathed to his heirs fell away and they have not received a cent from the estate - only expenses. I don't understand how lawyers could advise and sign witness to something like this in good conscience.

Really happy with the service I have received from these Attorneys. I have been constantly updated and kept in the loop on everything from their side. I would recommend using them if you are looking to buy or sell a house.
