What an amazing abode! Stylish yet cozy with a level of attention to detail not often found for such reasonable rates. The kitchen boasts a full set of appliances - you can make toast or whip up a Pavlova. The lounge is cozy and comfortable, furnished with 2 vet-sak bean bags and 2 three-seater couches. A large flat-screen TV, connected to all the services you could want, is there for your viewing entertainment. For a "bigger" view there is projector and retracting screen that the proprietors would be happy to assist you with - this can also be used for presentations as the lounge room can also be converted into a conference space. On to the bedrooms... WOW! The house boasts 3 en-suite bedrooms, each thematically decorated in their own fashion. The primary bedroom is inside the house off the lounge. It has ample cupboard space in a changing area with the bedroom proper adjacent on the right sporting a modern 4-poster king and a tea station. The en-suite is amazing, 2 personal vanities, a stylish bath and separate shower with the loo in its own, private little room. This room has Honeymoon-suite written all over it. From the lounge room area there is a bank of panoramic glass doors leading to a massive covered patio upon which there is a dining table with exceptionally amazing chairs and a cozy daybed area with a chez and a daybed. There is also a small pool and deck here. It is worth mentioning at this point that the houses lounge room and patio overlook an amazing, lush garden that flows down hill to a fast running stream, above which is the Ronaldskloof conservancy - if you are lucky enough you may even spot some buck or zebra and the entire area abounds with a plethora of bird life and fauna! Off to the right of the patio is a starecase, at the top of which is another bedroom. This bedroom has a lot of natural light and the interior decoration reflects this with its tasteful yellow features leading in to a semi-rustice bathroom bedecked with shower, twin-vanities and seperat3 water closet. Back out to the patio and down the stairs it a third bedroom which is decorated in a semi-victorian motif with a bathroom almost identical to that of the room above. It is clear that le Chemin is a guest house of comfort with tones of opulence from an Era past, but is also a multipurpose venue which can accommodate, among other things, weddings and conferences.

Le Chemin is a hidden gem of an events venue! It has wonderfully eclectic interior decor (all care of the fantastic eye for detail of the owner, whose home the venue previously was), and the most stunning views of the Kloof Gorge and Krantzkloof Nature Reserve. The venue is perfect for hosting intimate events for up to 70 odd people (as was the case for our event held there) with an open plan living area (backed by a very well appointed open kitchen) leading out onto an expansive balcony with the aforementioned magnificent views and a river running just below it at the bottom of the garden (the garden itself being a sight to behold). The venue also has several bedrooms available, all of which have been really tastefully decorated, and sleeps 6 or so people (I think). There are also another two separate apartments on the property that can also be hired, both of which have queen sized beds (I think - possibly king), fully functional kitchens and small lounge areas. I really can't recommend this place enough for any kind of small private or work function. It's an unique venue that will make anything held there more special for it.

I've never felt as comfortable in a space as I have here in Le Chemin (The Path). There's something magical here on the edge of the Krantzkloof gorge, maybe it's that crystal clear air, or the constant babbling of the brook in the forest... You'll have to try it for yourself. ​

A fantastic getaway in a Moroccan themed home. Definitely worth a stay
