We had a family gathering, ages ranging from 3 months to 83 years and took over the entire lodge—it was perfect, especially with so many young kids. Mark was simply wonderful, organizing the smallest detail to ensure our every need was met. The location is ideal, the rooms beautifully appointed, the garden was prolific and magical and the memorabilia scattered around the lodge sparked fascinating conversations. Mark is a true entertainer—his stories had us enthralled. He prepared a special Saturday luncheon that was both delicious and so elegantly presented. Our mealtimes on the expansive veranda were spent talking and laughing and reminiscing - something busy schedules don't allow for during the week. I understand Sunday lunches can be arranged for day visitors too. The lodge is easily accessible from Durban, making it an ideal weekend getaway, with plenty of places of interest nearby. A heartfelt thank you to Mark, Brandon, Thando and Kyana the dog for a truly special family weekend. Highly recommended!

My hubby and I had an absolutely delightful experience at the Glen Eden Lodge! It's super easy to access from the Main Road and conveniently close to fantastic eateries. Our host, Mark, was superb—engaging and sprinkled with a touch of humor. The breakfast was first-class and absolutely delicious. The staff? Incredibly friendly and polite! The lodge is steeped in history, and the magical views surrounding us were breathtaking. We will definitely be coming back! It's an absolute must-stay! - Charmaine.

My partner surprised me with two nights at Glen Eden. The place is absolutely stunning, with so much love in every detail you can truly feel the soul of this place. The room and all the open facilities were super clean and well-equipped; we didn’t miss a thing. The food is locally sourced and prepared by the lovely staff. There’s fresh baked bread in the mornings and a wonderful variety of cheeses. We also had dinner on the terrace one night, which offered a romantic setting and, again, stunning and high-quality food. During the day, you can spend time in the big garden with its wide views over the area, or head down to the river, just a five-minute walk away through the garden gate. We also walked to Artmore, which is only about 10 minutes away. But our absolute highlight was the warm company of Marc, the Glen Eden manager, and his staff. All of them are very professional and are truly the heart of this place. We will definitely come back. For those thinking about getting married in the Midlands in a family circle, you might want to check out this place—there’s even a small church on the property. It’s definitely my favorite pick for a wedding ceremony. And for all people with dogs: it’s an animal-friendly place. There’s even a small dog on the property from time to time who belongs to one of the staff members. She’s such a sweetheart, and we were so happy when she choose to spend some time in the garden with us.

We arrived unexpected and were warmly welcomed and accommodated by Brandon. We had an amazing stay, the view is beautiful and our dogs loved the expansive, fenced grounds of the lodge. The room was cozy and beautifully decorated, with a tiny private garden. Breakfast was delicious.
