Update Easter 2026: The hotel opened a second restaurant called „Etjanini“ 100m from the main building. It’s great, and a real upgrade compared to the lobby bistro which is still around as well.🙏 😌: Very pretty grand lobby with spectacular views into a mountain range and very tasteful furniture 👹: Dark dingy walkways and elevator to the rooms makes you wonder if you accidentally went into the delivery entrance 😍: Rooms themselves are very pretty, with spectacular views 👻: But the benches on the balcony are solid stone and incredibly uncomfortable ⛰️: Golf course and hills behind it are great for easy walks and hikes. For example there‘s a nice ~8km round trip that starts at the Pro Shop and goes a few meters up into the mountains. 🌚: But you have to find it yourself because nobody will tell you it exists. 👍: Staff is really friendly, genuinely nice people 👻: But also absolutely, completely, do not care. You sit in the lobby and you simply won’t get served until you walk up to them. Then when you want a top up, you need to walk there again. Need anything else? Better ask 3x times. Since the lobby is very very pretty they could easily upsell on snacks (Biltong platter, fruit platter, afternoon club sandwich etc.) 🫠: Overall lobby restaurant isnt too great yet very pricy: A modest breakfast for two is almost R600, a double gin tonic sets you back R150. 😍: However, their new restaurant „Etjanini“ 100 meters from the main building is very good and Instagramm pretty. It‘s also much better priced with steak and eggs at R135, or a nice omelette at R90. Overall verdict: I actually like the place. It‘s a nice spot to chill in nature.

The service was not good. They said they do cater for events and we can bring our own cake however, it was not properly explained that we are not allowed to eat the cake onsite😔 I am very much disappointed. While we were busy eating the waiters kept on disturbing us taking plates singaqedile.. ay nje im disappointed.

Located in a very secluded, yet beautiful property. My only criticism is that the walls seem to be thin and when your neighbor takes a shower you can hear, which is not a problem but, I found that some guests can ruin your experience - just too loud.. otherwise, I enjoyed the food, the atmosphere and mist of all the service from your staff

Room was clean, stunning view and bedding was superb. The coffee machine in the room was a nice surprise. The area is beautiful. The breakfast was good but tables and chairs need upgrading. The Restaurant was horrible. Food was barely eatable and very basic - not in line with a 4star establishment or the prices charged. Would strongly recommend to dine in town.
