I visited Macnut Farm due to the advertised event Artists in the Valley. Before that I had not heard of them. It is essentially a wedding venue but the owner is also an artist and had a gallery on site. The grounds are absolutely beautiful with so many beautiful corners in the garden for photo ops. There are a few different chapels around the gardens that they are working on, each as beautiful and different as the next but equally as interesting and beautiful. The little chapel is stunning with painted windows that the owner herself painted. I loved it here.

The catering for that amount of food? Hats off to Owners and Staff for all your hard work and efforts 👌

Our family outing to this quaint delightful venue for lunch was a truly remarkable experience which left an endilable mark on our our memories. Macnut has a homey feel of an extended family gathering, Hannah does all the cooking so it really is a sumptuous Sunday family "home cooked" lunch, made with love and Paul's straight out of the oven dessert was another comfort food to end the delightful meal. Whilst your little ones run freely around the grounds or engage in some dam fishing or fairy gardens, the adults can peruse and purchase the organic Vegetables from the set up stalls from the neighborhood. A really feel good, welcoming and family atmosphere all round. Well done to Hannah & Paul and team.

Whilst the surroundings are absolutely stunning with the stream running through the property, and the gorgeous tiny chapel. The initial atmosphere is very inviting. However Christmas lunch was very disappointing. The food tasted OK, but the 'hot' dishes were ice cold, dessert was instant pudding and the variety was dismal to say the very least. The dishes were very basic qnd not at all what you would expect for a Christmas lunch at R395 per person... the service was not very good, wait staff had to continously ask management for answers to simple questions leaving an even longer waiting time for drinks etc... And to top it all, coffee served after lunch was nothing short of shocking!! Who serves Frisco instant coffee?? Macnut farm that's who! And cappuccino we were told is an instant one out of a packet, just like the pudding. The owners however were very welcoming and friendly. Paying the bill was a long and complicated wait too... as I say, a stunning venue, but the food and service let them down.
