We booked in at Duma Manzi last weekend. We had high expectations and we were not disappointed. On arrival we were amazed by the beauty and tranquility of the lodge. The sounds from the river immediately relaxed you. Our accommodation was spacious and luxurious with our own private pool. Meals were exceptional with surprises in some of the courses. Seven giraffe wandered through the lodge. What an experience and privilege.

Honestly - what a magical place. From scenery, wildlife, to birdlife and just natural bliss - Duma Manzi is stunning. It’s a hidden, undisturbed gem that you won’t experience often anywhere else - especially in KZN. It’s just you and nature. The lodge, hosts, food, bedrooms - everything is just great and you won’t be disappointed. A must visit. And cannot wait to get back there.

We recently had the absolute pleasure of staying at Duma Manzi Eco Lodge and Spa, and we were blown away from the moment we arrived! The views and vistas that we were met with were like something out of a movie and provided an unreal backdrop for the weekend. The lodge is elegant and our family unit, located right on the riverbank, was the perfect location for a sneaky getaway. Days were spent swimming in the river, enjoying guided walks with the local guide (whose enthusiasm for nature was infectious), whilst at night we enjoyed some unbelievable cuisine around a bonfire at the boma, with the deep river gorge offering a spectacular setting. The art stations that were set out for the kids along the gorgeous Umkomaas river provided a very special experience for our little ones. We are so grateful to the fantastic hosts, Jo and Andre, as well as the entire team at Duma Manzi, who ensured that we had an unforgettable stay. It was a truly incredible experience, and we highly recommend visiting this amazing lodge!

The trip was part of a celebration for my Mr Man. We arrived to warm hospitality, complete professionalism and wow level of attention to detail. It was the small things done that left us feeling special. The husband was happy & the family who joined us were wowed. New level of holidaying set for some.
