Food is amazing, picnic and game drive was spectacular. Service is phenomenal - waited on hand and foot! Lodges are very clean and big! Abundant wildlife and the farm is in good condition. Great fishing location as well! Also makes a great wedding venue!

We had a wonderful time. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was AMAZING!!! And of high quality! There was a lot to do in and around the area of the lodge. The superior king room felt luxurious and spacious with aircon. Great nature views from the rooms and restaurant. It is only two hours drive from Pretoria. We highly recommend Mmakuba lodge for a getaway or any special celebratory occasions. Thank you to all the staff, you were amazing.

This is a well located place with peace and tranquility, a great place to break away from the city and relax. our stay was great i must say, however we wanted to do a game drive and the only available game drive was in the morning at 7 of which we decided to pass coz thats very early and we wanted to rest , in the afternoon we then decided to drive around the area using our own vehicle, we drove to the dam where we just sat and absorb the nature, upon check out we were charged R200 pp and we were 4, for that self drive we did to the nearby dam per person which i felt it was not fair, as this means you are only allowed to be within the lodge, and when one goes out then we get charged for that, which is really unfair, coz one would like to check out the place, if they really wanted to charge us they could have at least charged for the car not per person.

We had a wonderful stay - staff were very friendly and nothing was too much - great food. The room was big and decor was lovely .
