Glorious, opulent weddings are a forte at Palala, from grand receptions to the intimacy of family affairs. The Chapel promises to enchant your guests as its charm and allure are beyond compare. The large baobab tree framed at the front of the chapel makes for a picture-perfect feature and allows for amazing photo opportunities. Our venues, which are magnificently decorated, are each unique in their own way, making your wedding a one of a kind event. Brides can choose between two ballrooms, Tree of Life, with a magical view of the dam or, our brand new sophisticated ballroom, Oryx, with interior design that will form the perfect backdrop for your special day. Our wedding packages are designed to ensure an easy planning process, with all catering being included as well a substantial number of beverages. Your guests will be enjoying the added value of receiving a minimum of 3 drinks and 4 delectable canapes at sunset as well as wine and sparkling wine at the dinner table. The bride-to-be can design her own menu by choosing from a wide selection of mouthwatering plated or buffet options with the assistance of our events coordinator. Wedding couples will favour the complimentary and uniquely decorated The Nest honeymoon suite as it is a haven of sophistication and luxury. It presents magnificent 180 degree bush views, a private lounge area, guest toilet and the marble bathroom is grand, spacious and adorned with a free-standing spa bath, glass shower and twin basins. Make all the planning and hard work worth it by booking a weekend wedding at Palala. Guests can stay over for the entire weekend and on the Friday evening we will host a cosy boma braai in Oom Dup se Witgatwortel Lapa, which means your wedding venue will still be a surprise on your special day. My stay at Palala Boutique Game Lodge was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome. They explained everything in detail, were incredibly patient, caring, and always willing to assist. The lodge was spotless throughout our stay. Even during our excursions, the housekeeping team ensured our room was cleaned and beautifully prepared when we returned. What made our visit truly unforgettable was how they celebrated my birthday. They surprised me with a complimentary private dinner setup, creating a beautiful and intimate experience. I was also treated to a delicious dessert, and I had the pleasure of meeting the chef personally, which made the occasion even more special. Despite us being late for almost every excursion, the staff were understanding and accommodating, ensuring we never felt rushed or unwelcome. The outstanding hospitality, attention to detail, and genuine care from every staff member made this one of the best experiences we've ever had. I highly recommend Palala Boutique Game Lodge to anyone looking for luxury, exceptional service, and a memorable getaway. I felt like Queen Royal service all the way. We will definitely be returning!

Wow...what an experience, where do I begin? So, I had to make an Urgent turn at home in Phalaborwa and leave early on Sunday for Palala. On route, still making arrangements and stuff...credit to the staff who make the bookings smoother. Sooo...if you are going to Palala, please ensure that you get proper directions, especially the best off ramp to take from the tar/asphalt road. However, if you are in a Land Cruiser or any off road car...enjoy any road. Now, the experience, wow... From the entrance with security giving directions to the main reception through a 20km/m mini game drive in the a wilderness with wild animals to arrival at the beautiful reception. Taken to the massage area because we had booked a Swiss massage and Merlot bath plus dinner. The staff was most welcoming and we started with one of the best massage sessions followed by a calm/chill area. Then off to the Merlot bath...fruits of the wine...a beautiful bath in merlot and roses topped up with a bottle of red wine and snacks for an hour. As we were enjoying the warm bath of merlot, the lions started roaring at close proximity and the sound was so beautiful yet adrenaline setting off, lol. The whole hour was filled with roars, lol. Then took a hot shower and got ready for dinner. A six course meal dinner. What a dining experience we had, not service but dining experience, the staff kept emphasizing. And it was nothing but the best from course one to seven, yirp seven...the Chef was kind kind enough to throw a complimentary seventh course. You just have to experience it yourself. The food and the appetizers were absolutely amazing. Very delicious, smelled so good and top tier presentation. The service was out of this world, not a service but experience, lol. In KZN, where I live, I'd compare Palala Boutique Game Lodge & Spa to The Gorge Private Game Lodge & Spa, which I've experienced and reviewed few years ago. We had our year end function at Palala, what a breath taking experience it was. My colleagues wanted to extend their stay the way it was such a relaxing environment. From the time we started making arrangements with the lodge, everything was seamless. Anel Matthysen was assisting us with the arrangements and she made everything so easy. Even the last minute requests that we made were well taken care of. The service was so impeccable. The spa has such a beautiful and serene ambience, you could literally spend a whole day just at the spa. The food was so delicious... I am definitely looking forward to my next stay at this beautiful lodge.
