The surroundings are great and scenic. For what you pay the accommodation is ok for a cabin by the dam. Problem is although there is a king size bed, it is saggy and lumpy and stinks. So for a good night sleep... Not great. They also have a led light in the room that can't be switched off.... Don't know why. The shower water was warm not hot so on a cold night a man would at least want a nice hot shower.... So the experience all in all was poor. That kind of money could have been better spent elsewhere, where someone can actually put some pride in there place...

Wonderfull spot to get away from it all. Everything you need. Gas stove and the hot water is on gas also. Helpfull manager and staff, they got me out of a rough spot. Peacefull and quiet suroundings. Highly recommend 👌

Full review (edited) We stayed at Magoebaskloof Getaways for two nights. The access road is challenging, but we were aware of that beforehand and found it to be about what we expected. What we did not expect was people cutting bamboo along the route and blocking the road at times, which made access more difficult. At check-in we were told that free Wi-Fi was available, but we were never able to access it during our stay. Housekeeping was also lacking: the braai was not cleaned, the dustbin was not emptied and did not have a lid, which may have contributed to dogs wandering around our caravan at night. The biggest issue for caravanners is that the campsite is extremely sloped. We were unable to properly level our caravan, despite our best efforts. There was also a power outage during our stay. Unfortunately, no alternative lighting was provided for the ablution facilities, and nobody checked on guests or offered any assistance during the outage. The surrounding area is beautiful, but based on our experience, I cannot honestly recommend this campsite, particularly for caravan owners.

A few small issues but nothing major, the Manager Brian is very helpful at all hours and always willing to assist. The room it self had an issue but other than that it was a very pleasant experience and definitely will recommend them to anyone seeking a break away from the city. The mountain views are breathtaking
