Absolutely incredible place!! Highly highly recommend coming here. Gorgeous accommodations!! Incredible food and wait staff, Lorainne in the spa was FANTASTIC!!! Pete and Gold are the most amazing safari guides! Sooo informative and did everything possible to get us the best views of the animals!! Every single staff member was an absolute pleasure. Would come back 100 times if I could!!

I stayed at Shepherd’s Tree Lodge for one night, and I was absolutely delighted with my experience. All the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The food was outstanding, and I had two unforgettable game drives with Helen. She went above and beyond to make sure we saw as much wildlife as possible, and thanks to her dedication, we had truly fantastic drives. We saw elephants, lions, giraffes, buffalo, and many other amazing animals. I was also very lucky to share the safari vehicle with four wonderful ladies from Chile, and we had such a great time together. It made the whole experience even more special. I can wholeheartedly recommend Shepherd’s Tree Lodge to anyone looking for an unforgettable safari experience. Wow… what a place 😍 Two days at Shepherd’s Tree Game Lodge and honestly one of the best experiences I’ve had recently. We came for some quiet, nature and wellness and got way more than we expected. I had both a body and facial massage and the level was seriously high, you can feel it’s professional and not just a basic spa treatment. The food was incredible. They went above and beyond to accommodate my vegan lifestyle and it didn’t feel like I was compromising at all, if anything it felt elevated. The rooms are spacious, super comfortable and beautifully designed, giving that luxury lodge feeling right in the middle of nature. The whole place feels like a small peaceful village surrounded by stunning landscapes. One of my favorite parts was the little vehicles that take you around the lodge It just adds to the whole experience and makes everything feel special. We did a two hour safari every evening and it was perfect for us Didn’t feel the need to go in the mornings too, it was enough to see animals and get excited every time 🐘🦒 If you want to see all of the Big Five you’ll probably need a few more days. The staff are amazing You can really feel they care about your experience and not just treating you like another guest. We paid around 7000 rand per night for a couple That’s about 370 USD per night For this level, absolutely worth it. Super convenient location About a two hour drive from Johannesburg Perfect if you’re looking for a nature escape with comfort. If you’re into wellness nature vegan friendly travel safari experience relaxing luxury stays this is 100% the place. A real experience, not just another hotel 💛

Fantastic stay! Absolute amazong food menu and great Game drives! Great location. Mosquito net in the room not covering all the way to the ceiling so doesnt help much was one of the details which was not perfect on the very high level. Plus they gift you a waterbottle but the refiller does not really fit so the bottle touches it which is not very hygenic. Would def come back though and would recommend at least 2 nights.
