About Elephant Lodge

Elephant Lodge is a lovely guesthouse just outside of Vanderbijlpark. The lodge is close enough to all the action, 5 Min from Vaal Mall, 8 Min to Emerald Casino, so that you can have a farm like experience with all the needed close at hand.

We have double rooms set up to your specification, large rolling lawns for your events and a conference centre for your convenience. Our venue can host events with a large amount of people or perfect for just 10 people. From Luxurious Lavish all out weddings to a intimate setting for a few people. Specializing in budget weddings to include meals from buffets to a wine pairing menu. All your wedding needs we can assist with.

Quite a bit of issues in this lodge. First: Their toliet seat is sideways, doesn't stay up and they have 1 ply Toilet paper. Second: Doors are very difficult to lock as you need to use force to either lock or unlock them. Third: when we felt hot in the middle of the night we turned on the A/C and a GIANT cockroach came flying out of it, which caused us to have a decently loud reaction and no one came to see what had happened...I guess this is normal here. Fourth: Came with only 1 cup and NO teaspoon. Fifth: The only Trash in in the WHOLE room is in the bathroom and it is very small so we cannot throw out regular rubbish anywhere.

The Lodge is beautiful but could do better. We didn’t have hot water, the shower head was spraying water all over - with very low water pressure. We had only 1 towel and it was torn. To make matters worse there was 1ply toilet paper. The rooms are not sound proof, we could hear our neighbour on the phone the whole night. Also consider fitted sheets and not flat sheets?
