⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I believe a business should not only be judged by when things go right, but also by how it responds when things go wrong. Our initial experience with Lira was unfortunately disappointing. We had travelled from Johannesburg to celebrate my mother’s birthday and encountered several issues relating to communication, scheduling, and the overall execution of the experience. We left feeling frustrated and felt compelled to raise our concerns with management. What happened thereafter is the reason for this review. Rather than ignoring the complaint, the management team took ownership of the situation, engaged with us directly, listened to our concerns, and demonstrated a genuine commitment to making things right. They arranged a complimentary stay for my mother and two family members as a gesture of goodwill and an opportunity to experience Lira as it was intended to be experienced. The feedback from my mother was nothing short of exceptional. She could not stop talking about the experience. From the accommodation, to the spa treatments, the boat cruise, and the food, everything exceeded expectations. Most importantly, she felt valued, appreciated, and genuinely cared for by the staff. The attention to detail and level of hospitality displayed during the stay reflected the high standards that Lira aims to uphold. Many establishments offer apologies; fewer follow through with meaningful action. Lira not only acknowledged the shortcomings of our initial visit but went above and beyond to restore our confidence. Their willingness to listen, take accountability, and exceed expectations in rectifying the situation speaks volumes about the character of their management and team. For that reason, I am happy to commend Lira Boutique Lodge & Spa for their outstanding customer service recovery and commitment to guest satisfaction. Thank you to Boitumelo, management, and the entire team for turning a disappointing experience into one that my family will remember positively. Highly recommended.

Although we did not stay over at Lira Boutique Lodge, we visited their restaurant and it was absolutely worth it. The restaurant is perfectly located next to the dam, and the views are simply breathtaking. The food was outstanding, from the main dishes to the desserts, everything was delicious and beautifully prepared. We placed our order and then went for the boat cruise, which was an unforgettable experience for us as first-timers. The captain was incredibly friendly and even allowed us to play our own music, which made the cruise even more enjoyable. When we returned, our food was already prepared and served promptly. The service was exceptional, and a special shout-out to our waiter, Thami “Thamsanqa”, who went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food, amazing views, and a relaxing boat cruise.

We went there on 30 December after booking on DinePlan and paying R700 for 2 people. When we arrived a table was not reserved for us but a plan was made. The table cloth was wet and the waiter informed us there was nothing he could do. The music being played was so loud and contrary to the ambiance we would have expected. We wanted to have cocktails but we were told there was no syrup. We also could not have anything with beef fillet. The food we had was insulting to the senses. The only thing that saved the day was the waiter who was nice.

I really had the best experience at Lira . The service was on a high level . Fortunate the staff member that helped us was very kind and sweet . The food was delicious. The ride was also the best . The driver drove us nicely
