Dam side park where the evergreen lawns cover the ground below shadows of indigenous trees. The lake-like dam is 20km in length and +- 6km wide. The plasce is usable for weekend relaxing away from the high temperature of the area. Some prefer holding functions for weddings, parties, formal meetings, friendly gatherings, all in the open air. Toilets and braai space are galore. Some come just to do fishing. Permit required in this regard. Boat rides are available at affordable prices.

Beautiful dam side lawn area with great open spaces and decent facilities (pool, braai areas, main building where music was playing etc). The sunset over the dam was majestic and the weather perfect... A great place for taking the family, your friends or even hosting weddings and events. The facilities are maintained regularly. My only negative feedback is, that the road to the entrance is not suitable for low sedans or hot hatches, it isn't rough enough that you require an SUV or 4x4, but I wouldn't recommend going in with a sporty sedan, for example, though. There is an entrance fee of R50/person (wich is fair), but this is not displayed/advertised anywhere. I had a great picnic there, the vibes were really great, I've been there twice and I would go again. Thank you for your time and I hope that this review was helpful.
