⭐ 1/5 This lodge is honestly not worth the money or the trouble. The location is horrible. The road from Venda to the lodge is in terrible condition, and the road from the main road to the gate is a gravel road full of potholes and ditches. Accessing the place is a nightmare, especially if you value your car. The service is extremely poor and unprofessional. There is no urgency or care for guests’ comfort. The units smell bad, and we had ants inside the room, which is unacceptable. The air conditioner does not blow hot air, the Wi-Fi does not work, and the infrastructure is badly built. You can clearly see poor workmanship throughout the units — nothing feels well-finished or maintained. Basic amenities are missing: • No microwave in the units (you have to go ask at reception) • No irons in the units These are basic necessities that any decent lodge should provide. On top of that, the lodge is far from everything. There are no reputable fast-food outlets nearby. If you want Nando’s, Pedros, or Debonairs, you must drive 35 minutes to Venda CBD. The only visible fast-food option nearby is KFC, and supermarkets are limited to Usave or Shoprite. Overall, this place lacks comfort, cleanliness, proper service, and basic facilities. It feels poorly planned and poorly managed. I would not recommend this lodge to anyone unless major improvements are made across the board.
