We had a wonderful 3-night stay at Jembisa Bush Home and couldn’t have asked for a better bush escape. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was outstanding — welcoming, attentive, and genuinely caring without ever being intrusive. A huge thank you to Loraine, Andre, Sunnyboy, Cliff, and the rest of the amazing team for making our stay so special — your warmth and attentiveness really made us feel at home. The food was a real highlight. Every meal was delicious, well prepared, and thoughtfully done — you can really tell when hosts put love into what they serve. And then there’s Astro and Milo — the absolute stars of the stay. These two added so much charm and fun, always around with friendly energy and making the place feel like a true home. The atmosphere is peaceful, authentic, and relaxing — perfect for switching off and reconnecting with nature. We left feeling refreshed, well fed, and already talking about coming back. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food, heartfelt hospitality, and a memorable bush experience.

Myself, my wife and our 3 year old had an amazing time at Jembisa, all of the staff were so nice and accommodating - felt like we were part of the family there. Great food (especially the braai), child entertainment, animal sightings and location, would recommend!

This is one that I truly hate to share it was that good. First of all your hosts Some of the nicest most knowledgeable guides I have ever had in Africa much less South Africa. The estate belongs to whitbread family And you get to stay in their house. The prices are incredibly reasonable for the experience that you'll have. And All food and alcohol is included. Some of my favorite times were actually over dinner where you could talk to people about the lot life in South Africa and especially about the wildlife in South Africa is really like. If you were anywhere near there this is worth a stop

Jembisa Bush Home is the most wonderful way to be introduced to the wildlife of South Africa. You are escorted and educated around the home estate and beyond. No matter the degree of your knowledge, the guides will amaze you, entertain you, intrigue you and astound you with their knowledge. Be spoilt in and around the home, laze by the pool, wander down to the balcony over looking the river. Make the most of everything that your hosts can introduce you to.
