We had the most incredible two-night stay at Waterberg Wildlife Sanctuary. From the moment we arrived, everything was absolutely amazing. The staff are truly next level — so warm, welcoming, and attentive, which made the whole experience even more special. A very special mention to our tour guide, Hennie. He was the sweetest person and made our experience unforgettable. His knowledge, kindness, and passion for the wildlife and the sanctuary really stood out, and he went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time. The scenery, the wildlife, and the peaceful atmosphere made it the perfect getaway. We left feeling relaxed, grateful, and already planning our next visit. We honestly can’t wait to go again. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a truly special bush experience.

One of the best weekend getaways we've ever had. The camp was spotless and well maintained, and the staff were exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. The peaceful atmosphere, the campfire under the stars, and the unforgettable sounds of roaring lions, howling wolves, and calling jackals made for a truly memorable experience. Thank you, Waterberg Wildlife Sanctuary, for your outstanding hospitality. We will definitely be back!

We had the pleasure of staying at this incredible place over the long weekend, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. The beds were beautifully made with decorative towel arrangements, and each room had chocolates waiting for us. The hot tub was already heated, and the fireplace had been prepared, making us feel right at home. Although we arrived quite late, the scenery that greeted us was absolutely breathtaking. One of the highlights was relaxing in the hot tub while listening to the sounds of nature around us. From the peaceful pond in front of the lodge to the distant roar of lions, the howl of wolves, and the cries of jackals, it was a unique and magical experience. We had an amazing stay and will definitely be booking again. A heartfelt thank you to Waterberg Wildlife Sanctuary for providing such a memorable experience. The staff were exceptionally welcoming, friendly, and always ready to assist. Everything was truly phenomenal.

We spent a couple of days at the Waterberg Predator Park also known as Ceasars Bush Palace & Predator park just outside Vaalwater. Such an incredible experience (if spine chilling) to be able to sleep between the lion enclosures and be right in the middle of the lions when they all begin to roar in the night. So definitely stay over for a night if you can, but day visits are absolutely possible. We stayed in the pool room, right on the pool but we were closest to the enclosures. They have other accommodation on the dam, and a house for larger groups. I'm not generally someone who supports zoo's but I can appreciate that these big cats have only ever been hand-raised and could never fend for themselves in the wild, and so places like this are necessary. I would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area. Bear in mind that like everything, Covid has had its impact, but every visitor can provide much needed financial support to help feed these majestic animals.
