Originally known as Ametis, this enchanting property was purchased by the Moyanga family in 2007 for leisurely weekend escapes. Over the years, it became a cherished retreat where family members learned to ride quad bikes, swim in open waters, hike through lush landscapes, and row along shimmering waters. As the Moyanga siblings grew up and life led them in different directions, their time at this idyllic haven became less frequent. Yet, the youngest brother, with a deep affection for their family sanctuary, envisioned a way to bring everyone back together—his wedding. Thus, the transformation of Moyres began. Inspired by the desire to create a beautiful venue for celebrations, Peter Moyanga, the family patriarch, knew that a simple tent wouldn’t suffice. Initially, the plan was to construct a hall overhanging a cliff, but as ideas flowed, the vision evolved. With contributions from his wife, Violet, and each of the siblings, the project took shape over an impressive four months, resulting in the stunning venue known today as Moyres. The venue features the main reception hall, Manomartedith Hall, a tribute to the Moyanga grandparents, exuding warmth and charm. Adjacent to it is Violet Hall, a beautiful chapel named in honour of Peter’s beloved wife, perfect for intimate ceremonies. Adding a playful touch to the experience is the Gin Bar, an open-air space ideal for cocktails and canapés, inviting guests to revel in the stunning scenery. Moyres boasts breathtaking natural beauty, with its picturesque surroundings inviting couples to celebrate their love in an unforgettable setting.
