Immerse yourself in the enchanting atmosphere of our venues at Smitsfield. • Step into our historic chapel, constructed in 1924, seating up to 280 guests. The chapel's open walls and crystal chandeliers create a romantic ambiance. • For a whimsical forest ceremony, our Poplar Forest, overlooking a ravine, is the perfect choice (additional setup charge applies). • Exchange vows under the majestic oak tree canopy, planted over 60 years ago, providing a natural and organic setting. Our newly constructed reception hall, inspired by the industrial factory style of the 1900s, features a stunning glass entrance, diamond-like timber trusses, and a shimmering chandelier. The venue offers a clean palette that complements various wedding styles, from classic to modern, rustic to simplistic. The venue can accommodate up to 350 guests. Smitsfield offers a very unique accommodation experience, with restored wooden train carriage’s dating from the 1950’s and modern container like suites. We can accommodate 38 guests on the property. Breakfast is included for all guests staying on the venue, adding value for a full weekend wedding experience. For the bride and groom we have luxuriously decorated a bridal suite and salon in a restored train carriage, where we serve a champagne breakfast for the ladies as they prep for the big day. The men are spoiled with a vintage sports bar inspired grooms lounge, a perfect backdrop for those classic cigar and whiskey prep moments. Our in house catering has been carefully curated to complement country cuisine, offering an inclusive 5 course dining experience with the option of plated, buffet or family style serving. We also offer various catering options for a pre-wedding function from traditional spit braai to gourmet pizza and wine evenings.
