I had a wonderful three-night stay here as a solo traveller while visiting Kruger National Park. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, making everything very easy from start to finish. I was even able to arrange an airport transfer through the lodge, which made travelling on my own completely stress-free. Throughout my stay, I felt comfortable, safe, and well looked after. The rooms were great, and I can highly recommend the full-day safari. The absolute highlight, however, was watching hippos from the pool and at breakfast – such an amazing and unforgettable experience! One thing to note: the sunset safari is organized by the park itself, while the lodge provides the transfer. Thank you to the whole team for a fantastic stay!

We had an amazing stay at Sabie River Bush Lodge and the perfect place to celebrate my birthday. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel truly welcome. The lodge is located 20 minutes from the Paul Kruger gate and was the ideal location for game drives booked with the lodge. A special mention to Casca, our game drive guide, who was fantastic — we were lucky enough to see the full Big Five and wild dogs. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Mixed feelings. Here are the pros and cons. -: Reception was unfriendly whenever we were there. The room was very small. The bathroom was very small. The bathroom window was covered in mold. There was no seating outside the room. We overlooked the kitchen. Despite a river view, we saw almost no animals. During the safari, the breakfast box wasn't ready, and staff had to be roused from their beds each time to give us the box. A small breakfast box. Bad internet in the room. +: The staff in the restaurant and at the pool were very friendly and helpful. The food was good, even the vegetarian options. All in all, it was a disappointment. We wouldn't go there again.

This lodge made our first time Safari trip so easy and special. First off, the communication was impeccable. They respond fast to all inquiries. The lodge's location is so close to Kruger gate. The food is good and they have a wide selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic menu. The pool and lounging area are clean and sits afront the Sabie river where we spotted elephants and hippo. We had a great experience here and would recommend this to everyone who wants to have a mid-range Kruger National Park experience!
