A magical experience tucked away in a beautiful macadamia and avocado forest. Every detail here is thoughtfully curated, creating a visual and spiritual escape that stays with you. The energy of the place is simply wonderful from the moment you arrive. ​The food was exceptional—every meal felt like a masterpiece, perfectly balanced and beautifully presented. Beyond the atmosphere, I want to highlight the amazing people who make this place a paradise. Their dedication and kindness are truly inspiring. Our stay at Highgrove was absolutely exceptional. From the moment you arrive, you step into a genuine family-owned property, nestled in lush, abundant vegetation. The access road is spectacular: tall, majestic trees on both sides form a natural green tunnel, giving the impression of entering an almost untouched, primordial forest. We were welcomed by Tracy, a member of the family, whose kindness, warmth, sense of humour and hospitality immediately stood out. The welcome was genuinely heartfelt, with an unexpected room upgrade that made our arrival even more special. Tracy was always available, happy to help, exchange a few words, and make the stay as smooth as possible — including preparing our Kruger Park entry forms every day, which was greatly appreciated. The lodge itself is beautiful and immaculately maintained, with great attention paid to every detail: elegant décor, refined table settings and harmonious common areas. Despite the dense vegetation and towering trees, the view opens out over the valley, offering a setting that feels both immersive and deeply calming. Breakfasts and dinners were outstanding. As vegetarians, we felt especially well looked after: Tracy herself being vegetarian, the cuisine is thoughtfully designed, creative and perfectly balanced. The chef delivers an exceptional culinary experience, with varied, refined and delicious dishes every day — a real privilege to enjoy food of this standard. Ophry, who looked after us throughout our stay, brought to the service a level of gentleness, kindness and professionalism that was consistently excellent. We would also like to mention Nathaniel, the security officer who accompanied us in the evenings with a torch through the grounds. Beyond his role, he is a genuinely kind and pleasant person, and we very much enjoyed our conversations with him. The location is ideal, just 10 to 15 minutes from Phabeni Gate, providing easy access to the southern part of Kruger National Park and an excellent base for exploring the area. Finally, a very special word for Tracy. Far beyond her role as manager, she is a person of real depth, with whom conversation flows naturally and effortlessly. A sincere and memorable human encounter, giving Highgrove a rare and genuine soul. We would return to Highgrove without hesitation and warmly recommend it.

Such a memorable stay here at Highgrove House. My wife, cousin, best friend and I stayed here for one night after the safari portion of our trip, and my only wish is that we stayed longer. The rooms are lovely, the suites have an outdoor shower/sauna for an extra touch of R&R, and the property is beautiful. Tracy was so kind, spending time with us at the bar before dinner, and made our dinner experience extra special. Many compliments to the chef - dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious! The morning before we left, she took us on a little tour of the property, telling us more about the history and their farm. We'll definitely return in the future!

And then there are the views… truly spectacular, offering the most serene and picturesque setting you could ever dream of. I can’t recommend this place highly enough – whether for a peaceful getaway, a romantic escape, or simply to treat yourself, Highgrove House is an experience you’ll cherish forever.
