Exceptional Weekend Retreat at Wetlands Game Lodge ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 My wife and I booked a weekend retreat at Wetlands Game Lodge from 8-10 May 2026, and it exceeded all expectations. Despite clear skies and extreme cold nights (-4°C), the experience was unforgettable. Reception staff greeted us warmly and friendly, setting a welcoming tone right away. Our accommodation was stylish, spacious, and impeccably clean, providing the perfect cozy base. The restaurant team was professional and attentive, serving delicious meals that highlighted fresh, local flavors. The warm fireplace created an inviting, cosy atmosphere, ideal for unwinding after chilly days. What truly stood out was the wildlife and birds roaming freely around the chalets—nature felt incredibly close, making every moment magical. Great hunting and fishing opportunities were right on our doorstep, adding adventure to relaxation. Wetlands Game Lodge is a gem—come and spoil yourself!

What a stunning lodge. Impeccably professional, offering a first-class luxury experience within a timeless country farm-style retreat. The staff were warm, attentive, and exceptionally helpful. A truly memorable escape—highly recommended for anyone seeking comfort, elegance, and a peaceful countryside atmosphere.

We had a spectacular stay at Wetlands for my husband's birthday. All the staff and the manager are extremely friendly and helpful. The other guests that were there were also very friendly. Value for money. The food is incredible. The rooms are beautiful and extremely clean. The comfiest bedding. Extremely soft linen and pillows. Will definitely be visiting your beautiful and extremely peaceful establishment again! Once again thank you!

My wifes birthday was a nightmare!!! Firstlywe were given the room right next to the work-in door without WiFi- coverage, there was no welcome note for us in our room but other rooms had welcome notes “ DIFFERENT RACE” . - I requested additional picnic in the room with flowers, balloons and I paid extras for that as a surprise for my wife, guess what? We got Cold platter with 2 balloons ,and with less than 5 roses leaflets on the floor. - As for activities 1/10 We have booked a game drive for 16h00 then suddenly had to be rescheduled for 15h30 telling us that it will be raining around that time, okay Cool. During the game driver the driver was in a rush, I really couldn’t hold myself, I had to ask him, by the way He’s name is Joe. Joe told us without sugarcoating it that he’s been instructed to go and fetch late stuff from ekasi so he’s running out of time. - In terms of seeing animals, they were limited. Few buffalo’s, 3 ostrich, few Gemsboks and lots of impala’s. - Lastly what makes things worse, I’ve booked for a couple retreat massage. We got there, there was no welcome drinks, no Massage music, it was like applying a lotion for something that has been paid. In overall, I can say. I saw racism and I never thought that still existing.
