What an incredible experience. Senette is a lovely, welcoming host! The views are absolutely breathtaking. It's the perfect getaway when looking for a quiet, spacious place as a couple. We will definitely be visiting again soon.

Keron and Senette are truly wonderful, gracious hosts. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed so warmly and immediately made to feel at home. They kindly accommodated our late check-in and were incredibly patient and understanding when we accidentally lost the key to our room during a hike, only to somehow find it again on the second hike! What are the odds? Our stay also took an unexpected turn when my husband slipped at the waterfall and broke his arm (a reminder to be careful, as the rocks can be very slippery). Keron and Senette went above and beyond to help us during a very stressful situation, showing genuine care and kindness throughout. In the rush of leaving, we also forgot a few belongings behind, and Senette was thoughtful enough to arrange for them to be couriered back to us. That level of care and generosity is rare. Schaefers’ Halt is absolutely beautiful, the views are breathtaking, the hikes are wonderful, and the rooms are spotless and comfortable. But what truly makes this place special is Keron and Senette themselves. They are genuine, warm, salt-of-the-earth people who make your stay feel personal and memorable. We are already looking forward to coming back.

We had a wonderful stay at Schaefers Halt, we stayed in one of the pet friendly cottages they had to offer. The property is securely fenced, which gave us great peace of mind while our dog explored freely. The views from the cottage are absolutely beautiful, and the surrounding trails are truly exceptional our dog enjoyed every minute of them, and so did we. The host was warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The cottage itself is fully equipped with everything you might need, and the cozy fireplace was the perfect touch for relaxing evenings. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway, especially if you're traveling with pets.
