As a wedding photographer, I see a lot of venues — Green Leaves is one of those rare ones that makes my job easy. The gardens are immaculately kept, the chapel is genuinely romantic, and the late-afternoon light against the Magaliesberg is a gift for portraits. What stood out most, though, was the team. The coordinator (Jeannine) ran the day so smoothly that everything simply happened on time, and the waiters and bar staff were warm and attentive from setup to last dance. Couples looking for a country venue near Harties with both beauty and professionalism behind the scenes — this is it. I'd photograph here again in a heartbeat.

Words cannot explain our gratitude towards Nadine, and the whole Green Leaves Team! The first time we set foot on the G L grounds, was the beginning of our daughter's dream wedding. Perfect from the word GO! The very friendly gentleman at the gate, made us feel so welcome! My daughter and her fiancé, immediately said ...This is it! Saturday, 13 June 2026, their dream became reality. Beautiful venue, beautiful, warm hearted, friendly and professional staff, added blessings to her beautiful day!!! Green Leaves...Dankie! Had an amazing wedding experience here. Wish I could give more stars to Green Leaves. Communication prior to the wedding was always good, clear, and friendly. Everything went smoothly and the food was great! Highly recommend! Beautiful views too

SECOND REVIEW because first review was deleted! Stunning venue and beautiful setting, but unfortunately the service completely let us down on our wedding day. I got married here a few weeks ago and the coordinator was extremely disappointing to work with. She rolled her eyes at my bridesmaids when they politely asked for things to be moved — things that had already been discussed and confirmed in our meeting a month before the wedding. Throughout the day she kept asking for clarification even though everything had been clearly documented beforehand. Our platters were brought out late, and there was confusion around basic service. We were told coffee would be available, but when guests asked for coffee they were told there wasn’t any. When we checked with the bar ourselves, there actually was coffee. The waiters then changed their answer and suddenly said they did have it. The waiters were also supposed to take drink orders during canapés, but instead guests had to walk all the way to the bar themselves. One of the most upsetting parts was that my rose petals were never placed on the aisle. We were told it was “because of the wind,” yet there was no wind at all. It honestly just felt like nobody cared enough to make it happen. The venue itself is beautiful, but sadly that’s where the positives end. The service was poor, communication was frustrating, and the coordinator’s attitude made an already stressful day even harder. For something as important and expensive as a wedding, you expect care, professionalism, and attention to detail. Unfortunately, we did not experience that here.
