I stayed there for a month in a caravan. There are any facilities you can think of including for conferences. If you go there for a weekend or 4 days with family, the entertainment is very good. The problem is that they focus more on entertainment than on the upkeep and maintenance of the place. Things they neglect are long grass and also growing in the beds, buildings wooden beams starting to show woodrot, conference roofs rusting, ablution blocks with some taps not working properly, broken clothing hooks, most of the time no hand soap to wash your hands..... They need a good handson Foreman to see that these things are done properly. The personnel themselves are very helpful. So if you just go there for a few days with family, then that entertainment would be great. If you stay there longer, then this entertainment noise over weekends can become just too much. It all depends on each individual requirement. I just think that if they dont upkeep these things, then their fees are quite steep.

To start with a disclaimer: we visited during the peak Easter weekend. We are avid campers who love trying new spots, and given Omaramba’s many 5-star reviews, we were excited to give it a go. However, our experience completely contradicted those ratings. It seems this is a "love it or hate it" destination; unfortunately, we fell into the latter camp (no pun intended). If you enjoy the following, this place is for you: • Unrestricted Smoking: You can smoke anywhere—by the pool, in the bathrooms, or in the restaurant. There are no designated areas because the entire resort is a smoking zone. • Zero Noise Control: Loud music is permitted anytime and anywhere. The entertainment area starts at 8:00 AM and doesn't stop until closing; there is no escaping the noise, even inside your tent. • The "Jol" Culture: If you want to drink and party from sunrise to sunset, or crank up a private karaoke machine in your caravan, you’ll fit right in. • Rowdy Atmosphere: Expect constant swearing (including the "P-word") around families, late-night brawls after the bar closes, and "bakkies" racing through the campsite after midnight. • Crowded Conditions: Campsites are packed like sardines. The slabs are barely large enough for a 3m x 3m tent and 3m x 3m gazebo. • The Pool "Gold Rush": There is no space for families to sit unless you claim land with a gazebo and leave it there overnight. The Breaking Point: Just after midnight, a bakkie raced through the campsite and a woman began screaming as if she were being attacked. In the dead of night, this was extremely unsettling, especially with children asleep in the tent.
