Quite a nice place to get away from all the hustle and bustle of day to day life. Beautiful landscape. Ample camping space with different options from communal bathrooms to, individual bathroom/kitchen camp site, to glamping tents with outdoor kitchen and built in bathroom and log cabins available.

This was our second year camping at Khamkirri in December, and we will definitely be back. The campsites are neat and well maintained, with grass that makes camping very comfortable. The ablution facilities are beautiful, modern, and exceptionally clean. The swimming pool is small but just right for cooling off on hot days. In 2024 we were able to canoe on the Orange River, but in 2025 the river was unfortunately too full. However, the view over the river from the deck is absolutely breathtaking. The restaurant serves delicious cocktails, and the staff are friendly and always helpful. It is also convenient that you can buy ice and water on site. The nearest shop is the Spar in Kakamas, which is a lovely and well-stocked store. Khamkirri is a wonderful place to relax and recharge. We will definitely camp here again.

What a brilliant place! This was our second time at Kamkirri, and once again we left feeling like family. It has officially become our annual must-stop destination. If I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would. A huge thank you to the management and staff — you all know who you are. Your hospitality, warmth, and attention to detail are truly appreciated and make this place something special. P.S. Your hamburgers are hands down the best in South Africa — please never change that! We’ll definitely be back again.

We had a wonderful stay here. Wish we booked for more days... The children had a blast, the restaurant is excellent and the management is super friendly. Highly recommended.
