The lodge is beautiful. The staff are very friendly and gracious. However the room we stayed in left a little to be desired. The bedsheets were torn. You have to climb into the shower to be able to close the bathroom door if you need to use the toilet. That was all still manageable. After an exhausting day driving back from Namibia all we needed was rest. But the drunken laughing and screaming and shouting that was going on, forced us to call reception way past midnight. It was a lady that answered the phone and even though she assured us that she will handle it the situation did not change until way past 2am. Situations like that call for stricter measures and to put your staff in such a predicament is a lack of control from management. Do better 'country hotels'. The place is too beautiful to be treated as a drinking hole.

Very nice overnight stop. Beautiful setting and very well situated. The check in was quick and easy, the rooms were spotless and the service was great. The restaurant was fantastic and had a few cold beers next to the pool chilling and the sofa-beds. Will most certainly make that our stop again of we in the area.

I have stayed at this hotel more than once, and unfortunately my experience has been inconsistent. During my stay in December last year, there was no hot water in my room. I was informed on the first night that the issue would be fixed, but the following morning there was still no hot water. I had to be given access to another room just to shower, and then return to my own room afterwards. This was quite inconvenient, especially when preparing for work. The restaurant service also needs improvement. The waiters and waitresses are not necessarily rude, but they seem inexperienced and in need of proper training. Orders take longer than expected, and basic service details such as bringing change promptly are often overlooked unless you ask. Compared to the level of service one would expect in larger cities like Johannesburg, there is definitely room for improvement. On a recent stay, I forgot to order a pre-packed breakfast the night before as I was leaving early for site. In the morning, I was told nothing could be arranged. A bit of flexibility or willingness to assist would have been appreciated. The bathroom design is another concern. The shower allows a lot of water to spill onto the floor, and since the toilet is right next to it, the entire floor becomes wet and uncomfortable to use. Overall, the hotel has potential, but attention to maintenance and service training would make a significant difference to the guest experience.

I love the Inn. There could be some improvements in the room. The towel rack could be placed onto the other wall instead of the wall at the toilet. The aircon made a weird sound. The location is very beautiful. And the service was excellent. The key cards was very exciting.
