Loses one star for the N14 Olifantshoek road that runs behind the lodge- large trucks are very noisy. Staff very welcoming- Cora was a delight. Stayed in chalet 18, 2 sleeper- positioned furtherest from the N14 noise, spacious deck with dining and casual seating. Parking ourside your room. Breakfast at Silver Spoon was lovely, included in the price. 30% discount for 1st night either entering or exiting KTP. Not on camping as they advised. Red Ox restaurant not on site but about 3km away. Braai meat and preserved salads available to purchase. Cards accepted

The best lodge that I have stayed at. Stay here all the time when I visit Upington. From Reception to friendly Staff. I travel all over SA for work. Excellent Breakfast!!. So tranquil here.

They used to accommodate outsiders for their buffet breakfast, which was something I really appreciated. However, the policy has now changed, and it’s no longer convenient or even possible for people who aren’t staying there to enjoy it. This is quite disappointing.

Tshahitsi is a great lodge - during the day time. Unfortunately the trucks on the very nearby N14 highway make a lot of noise all day and night. If you are a light sleeper be prepared to wake up to this noise often during the night - at least if you are staying in the units next to the road. If I would have realised this beforehand, I would have chosen a more quiet place to stay.
