Searching for a nice spot to camp after crossing the McCarthy's border we came across this immaculate guest farm alongside the Kuruman river. We camped one night where the facilities were top notch. Due to bad weather we spent the second night in the guesthouse which is equipped with everything you need, was very comfortable and spotless. Very good value for the price.

Just finished a two week cross country trip, stayed over at some of the most picturesque places in South Africa, and without a shadow of doubt, Kalahari Yochana was the highlight. The views leave you breathless, and there’s no shortage of spots to enjoy them from. Watching the wildlife walking in the river bed, while sitting in the hot tub felt surreal. Jeanie’s attention to detail in the design of the lodge, makes a tent, feel like a home. Cannot wait to come back again!

Highly recommend this beautiful Gem of a place to anyone who wants to break away and seek the calmness ,peace and tranquillity that Kalahari Yochanah offers. This was truly a beautiful experience. The place is remarkable ,the interior is absolutely exquisite.It is neat ,spotless and it smells define.

28 March 2026 - our wedding day. Not only did the Kalahari treat us by being the most beautiful it has been in years - all green and raining three days straight! But the team of Frylinckspan made our special day come to life. They are friendly and professional. Even though the weather tried it's best to make them look bad, they had enough ideas to keep everything running smoothly. We are extremely honored to be part of their journey as a new venue and guestfarm. We will surely be visiting again, might even start planning our next event already!
