Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Beautiful location. Their wine is simply incredible and very well priced. I take my hat of to the wine maker every wine was great. I appreciate the clarification of price of the tasting when buying a bottle. I would recommend this experience to anyone.

Some meals go beyond words… and this was one of them. From the hands of Chef Gordon and his team came a symphony of flavour - sweetcorn and sage soup, indulgent pork belly, and a chocolate tart. Each bite layered, intentional, unforgettable. All this paired The Deep Purple wine, inspired by Smoke on the Water, added a final note to an already beautiful composition. Gratitude feels small when you’re spoiled with a culinary experience like this. Dear Jesmine, heartfelt thank you for such an authentically special experience. Your passion, loyalty, and kindness elevated every moment and every pour. The wines from Mayke and De Wet speak so beautifully of Botrivier’s unique terroir - truly something to be celebrated. We will sing your praises wherever we go!

Following a recent trip to Hermanus, I had some time to slip into Wildekrans for a tasting. For what ever reason, I’ve never visited, although I know the wines very well, I took the opportunity to visit. What was offered was far more than your average wine tasting. This 1 000-hectare estate is tucked away in the beautiful Bot River Valley, surrounded by fields of indigenous renosterbos, with truly majestic views that immediately set the tone. It’s hard to believe you’re just an hour from Cape Town and only 20 minutes from Hermanus. The tasting itself was exceptional, a thoughtfully curated selection of award-winning wines, beautifully showcasing the character of the estate. Jasmine, who guided us through the tasting, was warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable, sharing insights that made the wines even more enjoyable. The Chenin, Shiraz & Cab Franc were my palette delights. Delivering structure, great range of flavour depth, and exceptional craftsmanship. The latest Sauv Blanc, was also truly remarkable, both in flavor and value. To elevate the experience further, you can enjoy a leisurely picnic in the garden, sharing a hamper filled with delicious food, perhaps the perfect pairing with the wines and the setting. Knowing that Wildekrans also produces olive oils, offers dining experiences, luxury farm accommodation, and outdoor activities for nature lovers and hiking or biking enthusiasts, makes it clear this is a destination in every sense. Great birthday lunch experience at Wildekrans. The food and the service was exceptional. Thank you to the most amazing gentleman Tatenda who looked after us for the afternoon and made my wife's birthday a really special one indeed. The whole family enjoyed every minute. You will certainly see us in the future.
